Virology and Molecular Microbiology Laboratory

A laboratory with a capacity of 15-20 students, where various educational and research activities are carried out, and its goal is to cultivate active and dynamic students and provide opportunities for each student to work.

Expert: Ms. Dr. Mena Nassaj (with a Ph.D. in Bacteriology)

-The laboratory consists of three separate sections:

1- Molecular Microbiology

A- Senior Microbiology Students - Practical Unit of Molecular Detection Course:

-(Performing all stages of cloning - protein synthesis and Western blotting, etc.)

2- Virology:

A- Laboratory Science Students - Practical Unit of Virology:

- Molecular and genomic - protein detection of viruses: (Gene extraction by various methods. PCR. Plasmid purification. Horizontal electrophoresis. Vertical electrophoresis. Western blotting, etc.).

B-Masters of Microbiology: Practical Virology Unit:

-(Virus propagation using cell culture methods, viral titration using TCID50 and Plaque assay methods, etc.) as well as molecular and genomic detection

-Cooperation in carrying out research projects

3-Real time –PCR
