Virology and Molecular Microbiology Laboratory
A laboratory with a capacity of 15-20 students, where various educational and research activities are carried out, and its goal is to cultivate active and dynamic students and provide opportunities for each student to work.
Expert: Ms. Dr. Mena Nassaj (with a Ph.D. in Bacteriology)
-The laboratory consists of three separate sections:
1- Molecular Microbiology
A- Senior Microbiology Students - Practical Unit of Molecular Detection Course:
-(Performing all stages of cloning - protein synthesis and Western blotting, etc.)
2- Virology:
A- Laboratory Science Students - Practical Unit of Virology:
- Molecular and genomic - protein detection of viruses: (Gene extraction by various methods. PCR. Plasmid purification. Horizontal electrophoresis. Vertical electrophoresis. Western blotting, etc.).
B-Masters of Microbiology: Practical Virology Unit:
-(Virus propagation using cell culture methods, viral titration using TCID50 and Plaque assay methods, etc.) as well as molecular and genomic detection
-Cooperation in carrying out research projects
3-Real time –PCR
-Practical support for theses and research projects approved by all departments in the university (. Microbes. Biotechnology, Immunology, Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, Parasitology, etc.).
-Practical training for master students of Immunology
-Practical training for microbiology students
